Spring Hill is a master planned, scattered lot community that has become a secondary suburban sprawl city to Tampa with a population over 100,000. Choosy about where you want to live? A scattered lot community might be the best option for you. "Scattered lot" means that Maronda Homes owns numerous lots all around the area for you to build on. Unlike traditional new construction communities, where a builder will build a few streets at once, these lots are typically in different areas and on different streets. This allows you to choose who your neighbors will be. Typically our scattered lot communities are in established areas with mature trees, neighborhood landscaping in place, neighbors already living around you and an existing community vibe. If we don't have a lot you love, you are welcome to provide your own lot and we would be happy to build you a great home in Spring Hill. Scatter lot communities allow our buyers to have more control over where they want to build their new home and they also help keep costs down. We also have the ability to procure a lot for you to build on in the Spring Hill area. Homesites in the area generally range from a quarter of an acre to 1 acre and prices start around $15,000 for a quarter acre lot. This makes Spring Hill a very affordable place to live.

What's Nearby?
Spring Hill has all of the major amenities that you would want. Many medical facilities, hospitals, schools and places of worship are scattered throughout Spring Hill. There are numerous outdoor shopping plazas that offer clothing stores, banks, restaurants, pharmacies and the big box retailers like Target, Sams Club, Home Depot and Publix. Also only about 30 minutes away are the Tampa Premium Outlets that includes stores like Saks off 5th, Cole Haan, Nike, Coach and Costco.

Looking for a day at the beach? Pine Island is a great place to rest and relax. It's half modern and half naturalistic beach. This quaint beach is a nice place to lay out in the sun or to have a mini get-away without having to travel far for a beach scene. If you are looking for a place to Scallop, then Spring Hill is the place to be. Because of its proximity to the Gulf Coast it's very easy to go out and start having fun catching scallops. This is great for locals that like the outdoors.

Spring Hill Features fun for the whole family. Springleton Fun Park in Hernando County is a family entertainment center that offers something for everyone in the family. Go-karts, inflatables, birthday parties, full arcade, train rides, mini golf, music, food, drinks, and snacks all lead to a fun filled afternoon. Spring Hill also offers Sprayground, where you can splash around in water sprays, gushers, dumps and pours at a nearby water park.

Nearby Weeki Wachee Springs is a natural tourist attraction located in Weeki Wachee, Florida, where underwater performances by "mermaids" are a local draw. Our local "mermaids" are women wearing fish tails as well as other fanciful outfits that can be viewed in an aquarium-like setting in the spring of the Weeki Wachee River. A waterpark, Buccaneer Bay, and boat rides are also part of the Weeki Wachee Springs. For more fun in the sun and water, Hernando Beach is also very close.

Spring Hill also boasts its own roadside attraction. Just off of Route 19 lurks a large pink dinosaur of uncertain species. Measuring 22 feet high and 58 feet long, our neighborhood friend dates from 1962. While you are on the road exploring your new community, don't forget Busch Gardens is less than an hour South. Busch Gardens pairs the adventure of an African Safari with sate of the art thrills. You can get up close and personal with many exotic species of exotic wildlife and lets you yell out loud on one of their world class roller coasters. Busch Gardens also offers the Sesame Street Safari of Fun for the littlest tykes.
