You are a short 30 minute trip to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! The beautiful gulf beaches of Siesta Key and St. Petersburg were rated the second and seventh best beaches in the United States by TripAdvisor's Users in 2018. Siesta Beach is part of the 8 mile stretch of beautiful white sand beaches known as Siesta Key. Its gorgeous pure quartz sand beaches mixed with blue-green water, picnic pavilions and sand volleyball creates a breath taking picture. Treasure Island in St. Petersburg is a long, undeveloped, stretch of beach on a barrier island with nearly four miles of gulf beachfront that will sure to please the entire family. Off of the beach, the Corey Avenue district offers a variety of funky specialty shops, galleries, restaurants and more to keep you busy for the afternoon or well into the late night hours. Also nearby is Anna Maria Island, a favorite beach of the locals that features beautiful turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. High rise condos and fast food restaurants are pleasantly absent from what many call "My island in the sun".

The Bradenton area of Manatee County offers Florida's version of Fenway Park, LECOM Park. With Spanish Mission style architectures LECOM Park offers nostalgic charm for an afternoon at the ballpark. LECOM is the Spring training camp home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and minor league team, Bradenton Marauders. Also, in Bradenton, there are plenty of dining options on Manatee Ave, overlooking the Manatee River. The redeveloped Riverwalk, aquariums, museums and libraries are all nearby. The area also features the Robinson Nature Preserve, the South Florida Museum and Bishop Planetarium.

All of these activities are conveniently located within Manatee County. There are also many parks in and around the area to enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fishing or exploring nature. Did you know that Manatee County offers the state-of-the-art G.T. Bray Recreation Center? You can spend a day or a few hours at the museums. Culture is a big part of life in Sarasota as it is known for its numerous performing arts centers and thriving art galleries. The area has all of the shopping that you could ask for. In Sarasota, you will find the shopping district known as University Towne Center.
